Here’s “A Woodland Christmas,” the third of three themed tablescapes I prepared this year:
The other two are “Homespun” and “Chinese-Themed”. Here they are together:
All the decorations were collected from our yard and the forest nearby.
I poked the greenery stems into waterpicks to keep them fresh for the light fixture decorations:
The bare branches are decorated with pine cones, birds, teasel pods, and bird seed stars that I found the recipe for in this delightful locally-written blog/book. When we’re finished with the bird feeders, they’ll go outside for our winter birds:
The centrepiece is a chunk of driftwood shaped a bit like a boat, filled with greenery from the yard, and lichen from the mountain nearby.
This is the tablescape we will be using this year for Christmas. I love how peaceful it makes me feel.
I left the table surface bare, to emphasize the woodland theme.
Happy Holidays to all!
